It's fun for families and builds camaraderie among company employees. Above all, it's an event you will feel good about being a part of. The event includes a 5K and 1-mile walk with all proceeds going to PetSmart Charities to support saving the lives of homeless pets. This year H & H Pet Services has started their own team that you can join or donate to. Our goal is to raise $500 for our team. May 22, 2010 Apache Junction 11am - 2pm | Paws Around the Fountain Adopt-A-Thon The Phoenix Animal Care Coalition (PACC911) and ADOG will host the 3rd annual Paws Around the Fountain Adopt-A-Thon. Over 40 rescue groups will be on-site with cats, dogs, horses & critters for adoption. Sheriff Joe Arpaio will visit. Pony rides, a small petting zoo, live music by DJ Cactus Jack Combs, and a lure course for dogs. Micro-chipping and low-cost vaccinations will also be available. Event benefits the PACC911 Emergency Medical Fund (EMF). Heather will be attending with her 2 current fosters Cookie & Lucky and other fosters with Chihuahua Rescue. Cinco de Mayo Festival & Chihuahua Races On May 5, 1862, 4,000 Mexican soldiers held off 8,000 French and allied troops bent on reestablishing their presence in the New World. Recognition of the Mexican victory is widely celebrated in the United States. In Chandler, the celebration is highlighted with the famous Chihuahua Races and the crowning of the King and Queen of Chihuahuas. In addition to the wildly entertaining Chihuahua Races, there will be plenty of music, food and dancing at this family event. Heather will be there with some of her fosters. Mingus Manor (Dining with the Dogs) Mingus Manor Animal Sanctuary was formed in an effort to help individuals and their senior pets when circumstances become unmanageable due to medical illness, loss of independent housing (moving to a nursing home), and terminal diagnosis. When family and friends can't take responsibility for a loved one's pet, we may be able to help.
Their goal is to comfortably house and provide veterinary care for all Mingus Manor residents while they enjoy their golden years. Heather will be attending with her AZ Pet Professional Network Group. She will also be donating free boarding services for the auction. PET DAY at Superstition Harley Davidson There will be vendors, on-site adoptions, mobile vaccinations/microchips, and more! Heather will be there with AZ Chihuahua Rescue - so come adopt a rescue dog that is looking for their forever home. |
